All About Mrs. Rizzo
Hi! My name is Laura Rizzo and I'm excited to be a part of your child's educational journey this year! This is my 10th year teaching here in Little Egg Harbor. I have taught self-contained K-2, In-class support, and now resource room. This year I'll be working with 4th graders for both ELA and Math and 5th graders for Math. I have spent my entire teaching career working with special education students. I absolutely LOVE my job!
On a personal note, I received my teaching degree from The College of New Jersey and my special education certification from Georgian Court University. I have been married for 7 years and have two awesome kids! My daughter Brooke is 5 and just started Kindergarten and my son Zachary is an active 2 year old. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, DISNEY... and of course, teaching!
I believe one of the key components of a successful school year is good school-home communication. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me! Email is best, but I will return your phone calls as soon as possible. Please remember to take a look at your child's folder coming home daily from our classroom to read what skills and concepts we are currently working on, homework packets, as well upcoming news and events.
I'm looking forward to a successful school year!
